Bruce Swan, Plant Science Senior Ag Research Technician.

Responsible for test plot establishment & maintenance. (Scouting out research field sites, planting, soil fertility testing and amendment, weed / disease control, harvest). During the winter months, helps publish research conclusions in an annual report. His duties include development and construction of new research equipment and calibration and maintenance of existing research tools. Bruce is responsible for supervision of summer harvest help. He travels many miles in the summer from Ralph to Selby to Kennebec to Martin and many test sites in between. All of our research plots are located on farmers fields across western and central South Dakota.
